Katie is so incredibly talented and so easy to work with! She did hair and makeup for me and makeup for my mom, and most of my bridesmaids for my wedding and everyone looked incredible!

She patiently worked with me on my look (I was very indecisive) and I could not have been happier with the results! I don't wear a lot of makeup but Katie made everything look very natural and the airbrush makeup looked still looked good 10 hours later! Amazing!! And my hair was absolutely perfect. The pictures came out sooo well.

She is worth every penny!

Katie Hollis is too good to be true!!!  She is not only an incredibly talented makeup artist, but she's also super skilled at styling hair!  First, the makeup - Katie's talent at makeup is absolute perfection - she did airbrush makeup for me and I was FLAWLESS on my wedding day.  Katie picked perfect colors and tones of airbrush foundation, blush, eyeshadow, and lipstick to accentuate my own colors, and my makeup remained perfect for the entire day and night!  I truly felt more beautiful than I have ever felt, which is exactly how every bride should feel on her wedding day. :)  Katie has serious skills at makeup artistry - and, her pricing is incredibly reasonable - I checked with other makeup artists that do airbrush, and the others were charging more than twice Katie's prices.

And, not only is Katie super skilled at makeup, but she's also incredibly talented (and has an awesome eye) for styling hair!  We did a trial run before the wedding, and I had pictures of hairstyles that were truly all over the map.  Katie was able to hone in on the styles that would flatter me the most and that would look the best with my gown; she tried several styles during our trial run, and we picked the best one, which looked wonderful and which also stayed perfect through the night!

Finally, the icing on the cake is Katie's personality - she is so sweet and calm and easygoing, which is exactly the type of person you want to be around on the morning of your wedding. :)  Katie was a major blessing to me - she is so unbelievably talented and will make you look and feel like perfection on your wedding day!

I was looking for a place that could do my hair and makeup for my wedding. I found good reviews of Model Call on Yelp and decided to try it out. I set up consultation makeup and hair sessions with Katie H. The makeup and hair trial went very well. Katie was very creative and took my somewhat limited suggestions and did a fantastic job with the hair and makeup. For my hair I decided to go with a half up, half down do since my hair is quite thick. I loved what Katie did with the back of my hair adding some soft waves and creating pretty little flowers with my hair. After the consultation, I decided that I wanted to do a bit more with the front of my hair. Katie was very open to suggestions and made sure I had all her contact info so that I could let her know if I wanted to make any changes. On the day of the wedding, Katie and Alex worked on the hair and makeup for me and my three bridesmaids. Alex did a fantastic job with the bridesmaids' hair. She created different styles for all three that looked great. Katie worked on the bridesmaids' makeup. The makeup looked very natural and perfectly highlighted each bridesmaid's best features. The bridesmaids and I put together all of the flower decorations ourselves, so we ended up with some extra flowers. Katie and Alex suggested incorporating the flowers into the hairstyles and the end result was perfect. Katie worked on my hair and makeup and I couldn't have been happier with the end result. She ended up modifying the makeup from the consultation session and it turned out looking even better than before. She really highlighted my eyes and the airbrush makeup felt very light and lasted all night. Katie added soft twists to the front of my hair, natural looking waves, and beautiful detailed work in the back. She added some orchids to my hair that would be fully visible when I took off my veil. I really appreciated that she took the time to make sure that none of the bobby pins were causing me pain, and even though I ended up with close to 70, I didn't feel any of them and my hair stayed perfectly in place all night. My hair and makeup looked fantastic and I got numerous compliments throughout the night. I couldn't be more pleased with what Katie and Alex did and I highly recommend them both.

I had the great fortune of meeting Katie Hollis in December 2010.  My main home is in London UK, but have a home in San Diego where I spend a few months a year.  I have the privilege of going to some of the top salons in the world, so was very particular about the standard and quality of work.   I was looking specifically for a colourist who would also be able to do the Coppola Keratin Treatment.  Katie is a true professional, knows her business, techniques and it was also a delight to be in her company.   She got my colour absolutely perfectly, with a gloss I have only seen on a couple of occasions. She understands how to manage all types of hair.   The Keratin treatment was done on my very curly hair with skill, and I must say that I love my smooth, straight and manageable hair.
